Hello again...

Hello again, it's been a while. I started this blog back in 2012 and really fell in love with blogging and the blogging community in 2014/15 however over the past six months to a year I lost my love for blogging. Stress took over my life and I couldn't find the energy or motivation to sit down and type, posts became few and far between and to be completely honest my heart just wasn't in it. That brings me to today well this morning actually it's currently 00:55am, I'm lying in bed with Gossip Girl playing for the millionth time and I've just gave my blog a whole new look. I've removed all my old posts and I'm going to start again.

So let's start a fresh a lot has happened - not particularly good. After a few months of being on a shaky peg I finally lost my job I say finally because I escaped losing it last year, I finally got made redundant at the end of June and it felt like a long time coming. I worked in retail for a company that wasn't doing well but I liked my job and liked the people I worked with being a person afraid of change I never stepped outside my comfort zone and branched out into another career. Losing my job saw my anxiety creep back into my life not that it ever left but it just became worse and I had the worst panic attack I've had in a long long time.

While being stressed out on the running up to losing my job my beloved cat Sox got ill and exactly a week after losing my job the day I'd dreaded came and we had to get my handsome little man put to sleep. We had Sox for 15 years and I loved him more than I can express, losing him has hit me hard it broke my heart. Gosh I sound like a right Debbie downer don't I?

As I try to pull my life back together and figure out what to do next I'm trying to stay positive, it's hard there are good days and bad but I do have something to look forward to. Next week I go to Disneyland Paris this is a big deal to me a travel virgin who has never left the UK and has a serious love for Disney. Sorry for the rambling post I just wanted to fill you in on what's been happening. I'm going to try and blog more but I'm not going to tie myself down to posting on certain days I'm just going to take it as it comes.

(right okay I really need to stop watching Gossip Girl)

A Little Update On Life

Tulips are my favourite 🌷💐
Tonight's entertainment
I've been a bit MIA on the blog so far this year and not really put out much content so I thought I'd do a little update. Really not much has happened I've been to a few gig Hurts, Marina and the Diamonds and The 1975 oh and I've only just gone and book a trip to Disneyland Paris!! If you know me you'll know this is a big deal as I love Disney plus I'm terrified of flying like properly terrified, I've never been on a place and I'm a huge scaredy cat when it come to heights. Anyway so far my excitement outweighs my fears and I cannot wait to finally see the castle in person and have lots of fun with my friends and sister.

Apart from that I've not really done anything that exciting all I've really done is binge watch Netflix shows in particular Hells Kitchen which I bloody love. I've really gotten back into Instagram again over the last coupe of months, my user name is terriswan if you want to have a peak or follow me - cheeky self plug there Terri!

Another thing I've been really enjoying are The Michalaks vlogs, they are stunning, what  gorgeous little family and the vlogs are so beautifully edited. I think what they are doing is a great thing, imagine looking back on those amazing videos in years time or when your having a down day, or in many years letting your kids/grandkids see what you and your life was like. It almost makes me want to vlog but I'd be rubbish. Anyway I'll stop rambling on, thanks for reading!

NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream

NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream £5.50

NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream might just be my new favourite lipsticks, I am in love with the formula and they wont break the bank. The little tubes that look like a lip gloss actually contain a creamy lipstick that dries matte and locks on to your lips. The doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply to the shape of your lips and after the formula locks to your lips feeling light and creamy before drying completely matte. The staying power is good you get around 4 hours wear depending on how much you eat and drink, also the more pigmented the shade the longer it lasts. There is a great range of shades in the NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Creams lots of nudes, pinks and some darker vampy shades. The shades pictured above are: Stockholm, Morocco, Abu Dhabi and Transylvania.

Stockholm is a cool toned peachy nude.
Morocco is a gorgeous orangey red.
Abu Dhabi is a browny nude (I love to build this one up).
Transylvania is a vampy deep purple.

Stockholm and Abu Dhabi make for perfect everyday nudes or go perfectly with a smokey eye, Morocco and Transylvania are both stunning stand out shades. These lip creams are really affordable at £5.50 and for the price they are excellent, you can buy now NYX Cosmetics in the UK at Boots and ASOS.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit in Light to Medium £39

I got it! After having my eye on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit for what felt like the bulk of last year I finally got it for Christmas. I really got into contouring last year and have bought my fair share of contour kits and palettes while lusting after this one from ABH. Anastasia Beverly Hills offers two different contour kits a cream one and a powder one, when it comes to contouring I always stick to powder products as cream ones look much more difficult and scare me a little. I got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette in the shade light to medium, the palette comes with 6 refillable shades to shape and sculpt your face, you get 3 highlight shades and 3 contour shades.

The highlight shades are;
Vanilla - a soft peachy nude in a matte finish.
Banana - a yellow toned matte shade perfect for under your eyes.
Sand - a soft beige shade with subtle shimmer perfect for cheekbones and your brow bone.

The contour shades are;
Java - a cool toned brown contour shade.
Fawn - the most subtle of the contour shades with a cool undertone.
Havana - a warm toned brown contour shade.

All of the powders are finely milled, blend well and are highly pigmented, you can build each shade up for your desired look. I personally love fawn for an everyday contour because it's a bit more subtle than the other two shades. Banana is also the perfect shade for setting concealer and brightening up under your eyes. The palette is very versatile as many of the shades can be used for more than just contouring you can use them for eye shadows and bronzer too. The palette is a little pricey but after getting and using the palette I can justify the price tag, if your into make up then this is worth the splurge.

Remember you can follow my blog on Bloglovin by clicking here I'd love it if you did also I'm on Instagram why not pop over and have a look.

The Disney Book

The Disney Book

Calling all Disney lovers! On the blog today I've got something your going to love, The Disney Book. My sister got me this for Christmas and it was one of my favourite gifts, being a huge Disney fan I was always going to love this. Now if your not a Disney fan your probably not going to give a damn about this book but I know there are many people out there who love Disney like me.

There is so much content in this book that I was a little overwhelmed from the Disney timeline and behind the scenes look to pages out the parks this book covers everything from where Disney started to where it is today. The hardback book starts with the Disney timeline that spans across 10 pages showing every Disney movie released (how many have you seen?!), many of the pages tell you all about your favourite movies with sketches and facts.

There's also pages packed with information of Disneyland/World including pictures of the original posters and merch. Not only do you get almost 200 pages of Disney but each book comes with an original film strip from Disney Pixars Brave. This book is the perfect gift for any Disney lover, you can buy the book here.

Armani Diamonds Violet

 Armani Diamonds Violet

I didn't buy much in the sales after Christmas but I did buy a couple of fragrance gift sets from Boots and this is one of them. The gift set included a 50ml Armani Diamonds Violet EDP and a mini 20ml Armani Diamonds Violet EDT which is perfect for slotting into your handbag for when your on the move. The set was originally £37, the same as the 50ml perfume on it's own, but I got it for around £25 in the sale.

Armani Diamonds Violet is the latest addition to the Armani Diamonds range the perfume is a feminine fruity floral scent with top notes of raspberry and passion fruit, heart notes of rose, freesia and lily of the valley plus base notes of vanilla and praline for some reason it reminds me of parma violet sweets. The scent isn't overpowering it's nice and subtle long lasting scent, it's perfect for everyday wear. The bottle is nice and classy not gimmicky or too bulky, I like the violet tint to the bottle. I've smelt the other Armani Diamond perfumes but this one is definitely my favourite.
