I didn't buy much in the sales after Christmas but I did buy a couple of fragrance gift sets from Boots and this is one of them. The gift set included a 50ml Armani Diamonds Violet EDP and a mini 20ml Armani Diamonds Violet EDT which is perfect for slotting into your handbag for when your on the move. The set was originally £37, the same as the 50ml perfume on it's own, but I got it for around £25 in the sale.

 

Armani Diamonds Violet is the latest addition to the Armani Diamonds range the perfume is a feminine fruity floral scent with top notes of raspberry and passion fruit, heart notes of rose, freesia and lily of the valley plus base notes of vanilla and praline for some reason it reminds me of parma violet sweets. The scent isn't overpowering it's nice and subtle long lasting scent, it's perfect for everyday wear. The bottle is nice and classy not gimmicky or too bulky, I like the violet tint to the bottle. I've smelt the other Armani Diamond perfumes but this one is definitely my favourite.

Christmas | Frangrence Gift Sets For Her

 

Christmas time means gift sets and there's so many gorgeous gift sets around - it's hard not to buy for yourself (guilty!). I know it might only be the middle of November but it always helps to be a bit prepared for Christmas so I've picked out some fragrance gift sets that would make a great gift starting at just £14.99, I'd happily see any of these under my Christmas tree.

One of my favourite fragrances is Ghost Deep Night (1) and it's really affordable this gift set is only £14.99 from Semichem. I love the strong sexy smell of this perfume, it's long lasting and can be worn day and/or night. Hugo Boss Boss Orange (2) set is currently on offer for £38 at The Perfume Shop, the set contains a 50ml EDT and a 100ml body lotion. The perfume is fresh and floral perfect for everyday. I think Daisy Dream (3) might be my favourite of the Marc Jacobs Daisy range, this set is a prefect gift for lovers of fruity floral scents plus the bottle is gorgeous. Probably thee perfume of last year Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium (4) would make a lovely gift for the women in your life, I love the strong glam rock smell of this perfume and this set comes with a mini YSL babydoll mascara and eyeliner.  I think miniature perfume gift sets makes for a great present and this one by Thierry Mugler (5) is only £29, in this set you get 4 of Thierry Mugler Anglels iconics scents. Armani Diamonds Violet (6) is the latest addition to the Armani Diamonds range, Armani Diamond Violet is a fruity floral perfume that isn't too sweet and over powering the gift set costs £37 and as well as a 50ml perfume you also get a 20ml spray in the set which is great value for money.

Smell Like Summer

The Body Shop Moringa Body Mist £7.50

 

Summer is on the way out well it barely arrived apart from the few odd days but lets not dwell on that! When going to T in the Park last month a women on the bus sprayed this body mist from The Body Shop and I instantly loved it, I felt like the bus had been transported into summer and wanted to get my hands on it! The smell just reminds me of summer it's a light, fresh, floral scent saying that I think if you went a bit crazy when spraying it then it would be a bit overpowering. I love this for just chucking in my bag and spraying throughout the day, the smell isn't that long lasting which is the down side but that's to be expected from a body mist.

 

The body mist comes in a glass bottle that is surprisingly sturdy I think it would take a lot for the bottle to smash so I don't have any problems with this lying in the bottom of my handbag. For £7.50 you get 100ml of product which is on the pricey side of things when it comes to a body mist but as I only use a few sprays at a time I'm hoping it will last reasonably well. On a side note because this is such a fresh scent it would double up as a room spray too.

Hugo Boss Nuit

I may have found my new favourite perfume, step forward Boss Nuit in all it's sleek black and gold glory. Boss Nuit was inspired by the little black dress and you can tell that from it's gorgeous elegant packaging and the fruity floral scent. You can wear this perfume day or night but I find it's more suited for an night time perfume because of it's strong smell, the base notes include sandalwood and crystal moss while the heart notes include violet, jasmine and white flowers. I love the musky smell it leaves which is strong at first but then settles, the wear time is average I don't find it that long lasting it wears off after a few hours but I love the smell so much I don't mind having to top it up. The smell reminds me slightly off the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium but at a slightly cheaper price point.

When it comes to perfume I can be quite sensitive to them with strong smells often giving me headaches and making me sneeze but I find this one gives me the strong smell I want but without any of those annoying effects. I spent ages smelling lots of different perfumes in Boots before I stumbled across this one and I loved it straight away, if you're looking for a new perfume this is definitely worth having a sniff of.
